Just five more days until Darien's Rise airs on radio stations across the country. It seems like it's been forever since we've had a new episode to discuss, but our hunger will soon be appeased! For those of you in the United States, you can purchase your own copy of the album at Christian Book. Canadian listeners may have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the album, but can place their order at the Focus bookstore. And don't forget to submit your questions for Paul McCusker! Over the last couple years, we've been extremely privileged to speak with the likes of writers Nathan Hoobler and Marshal Younger, as well as actors Dave Griffin, Lauren Schaffel, Genni Long, and Katie Leigh. It's been a long time coming since we've spoken with a member of the Odyssey team, but today we're pleased and proud to announce our next interview will be with writer Paul McCusker.

As the creator of the Passages series, Paul recently directed the radio adaptation of Darien's Rise and is currently working on the shows for Album 51. If there's anything you've been dying to know about Passages or Darien's Rise, don't delay!

New Podcast This Weekend!

Things sure have heated up in the Odyssey world since my last post. Starting with the Washington Secret Word Contest, fans will have the opportunity to access special bonus contest from the Official Site by listening to the weekend shows this summer. Don't miss out!

Paul McCusker and Dave Arnold were recently interviewed on the Cornerstone Television Network about their time working on Odyssey. The broadcast ran an hour long and featured several scenes from the AIO: Live! DVD. It was certainly a welcomed sight to see Odyssey getting this type of publicity. Two Surprises!

Okay, I admit it... I lied when I said I had "a special surprise." Truth be told, I have two surprises! The first surprise pertains to the design of our podcast.

As you know, the Official Podcast has its own logo. Pretty simple stuff...



Way back when the Unofficial Podcast started, I had a fellow Odyssey fan create our current podcast logo. It was great for the first year, but then I started thinking about getting something new and fresh. But I didn't have the creativity or photoshop skills to design anything with which I'd be satisfied. Well... not too long ago, Jacob Isom of the Odyssey Scoop kindly offered to create a new look for the Unofficial Podcast. You'll see the product of his efforts next weekend!

Now for the second surprise.

Over the last month or so, several of you have asked when Sarah and I will be reviewing Kidsboro. That's probably not going to happen. However, I recently had the opportunity of speaking of writer Marshal Younger about Kidsboro. We talked about Kidsboro, the Official Guide, and the upcoming live event! Remember that survey I asked you guys to do a little while ago? I was able to ask some of those questions you had for Marshal! This is another podcast you won't want to miss. Only Two More Days!

Well, folks, the spring season of Odyssey is still forty days away, but Nathan and Marshal have graciously agreed to talk with us in less than a week's time! Which means you have less than two days to submit your probing questions for the two writers/directors! In the meanwhile, I have new album cover art that I should've posted a while ago but never got around to doing it. I guess that's what happens when you go on vacation for three weeks. ;)



Album 33 has been repackaged and I'd say this redone version is a significant improvement over the original cover. Let me know if you agree or disagree. Back cover art is not yet available, but I'll post it as soon as it is released!

It's been nearly three weeks since we spoke with Lauren Schaffel, but now we finally get to release the full interview! Due to some technical issues, we unfortunately ended up losing some sound quality during the recording. As a result, Sarah and I are not nearly as crystal clear as I would've preferred.

And yes, I do realize Lauren started with Adventures in Odyssey nine years ago and not eleven like I said on the podcast. Pretty poor mathematics on my part... but hey, blunders and mishaps aside, it was still a thrill having Lauren on the show! Hopefully, ya'll will enjoy the interview as much as we had recording it!

Yep, and it's been out for just over 24 hours now, but you can listen to The Highest Stakes II right now! To those of you who have sent me reminders, I thank you verily. However, do realize that I check out the Town of Odyssey on an extremely consistent basis and that I am continually checking Oneplace for the latest episodes. So just because I don't post an update telling ya'll that the episode is up doesn't mean I'm not aware of it. ;)

As you may or may not know, Sarah and I were recently afforded the opportunity to speak with Lauren Schaffel. We had an awesome time talking and reminiscing about her time with Adventures in Odyssey! She's truly a multi-talented and extremely well-spoken individual... who apparently sounds a lot like our very own Sarah. But you'll have to wait for another couple weeks before getting a chance to hear our discussion with her... sorry! We still have to review The Highest Stakes and Chip Off the Shoulder, after which we will release the interview for your listening pleasure!
